Laurie's Last Orchestra Awards

Laurie Ann had her last Orchestra Award dinner last week. Everyone recieves some silly award like: Worst Stand Partner, Silliest Shoes at a Concert, Least Prepared for Class,... Laurie got "Most Unique Hair Styles". They had a Punk Rock concert and she painted her hair blue and spiked it. I don't have pictures of it.

She is a bit sad because she is having a lot of "Last" right now. This week she will have her last piano class. She has been with Mrs. Davis for 9 years. We have all been through a lot in those 9 years and have quite a friendship that will be missed.

There are so many changes in her life right now, but Laurie is looking forward to going to college and being on her own too.

She is graduating on May 29th at 8pm. We are having a party for her on May 31st at Blanchett Park, Pavillion 4, starting at 1 pm. Hope to see you all there.

Love to all,

Mickey

Mother's Day

I know I am a bit late for posting Mother's Day, but I thought I would share it anyway.

First it started on April 4th with tickets from Laurie Ann for Blue Man Group. It was awesome. We had tickets for the very-very top left corner. After the concert started Laurie wanted to move. So we moved to the balcony about center. I was able to get some great pictures from there. It was such a great time.

Next on May 9th Susie and I went for a pedicure to get ready for out Mother-Daughter Tea Party her church was sponsoring. On May 10 we went to the party but got lost on the way. After we got there we played games and won an extra ticket for prizes by spelling "FRIENDS" with the dice. Susie won a journal type book with her ticket. Lunch was great and we enjoyed the tea too.

Then on Mother's Day Susie brought me a couple of yellow roses and 2 movies to watch. We ate popcorn and watched them. Then we made pasta for supper.

Laurie Ann was working.

Dave came home from the farm with flowers for me. I love yellow roses the best but wild flowers are a close second. I admire the at the farm all the time.

Mandy sent a pretty picture frame with 3 of Xavier's pictures in it. I hung it in the foyer for all to admire. ( And to show off my grandson.)

Love to all,
Mickey

Laurie's Last Orchastra Concert

Laurie started to play the Viola in 6 grade. She had her last concert on May 6. At this concert all the schools play together. There are kids from elementry through high. It is great watching how much they advance over the years. It is my very favorite concert. It seems like only yesterday we were there watching her play for the first time. Our baby is all growed up. What a beautiful young woman she has become.
